Dish Drying Rack 2 Tier Aluminium Anti Rust Dish Drainer with Removable Draining Board Cutlery Holder and Cup Holder (Silver)

Spent ages searching for a quality drainer/dishrack that won't rust like our previous ones. Being aluminium, this looked liked the ideal option. Considering some of the previous reviewers comments in relation to the cutlery holder's draining holes being on the wrong side - I thought this would be a simple "fix" by just drilling some small holes in the opposite side of the cutlery holder's base. With this in mind, I ordered the drainer. Upon receiving the unit I can confirm it seems well built and the brushed aluminium looks pretty smart tbh. The unit requires some minor assembly. Whilst carrying this assembly out I noticed the two plastic feet that are on the base of the upper tier (see photo). As I don't plan on using the upper tier separately (it can removed and used as a "standalone" dish drying rack) these plastic feet where essentially redundant. They are also removeable! I have removed all four of them on mine and placed them on the lower of the two aluminium guide rails on the front of the unit, in-line with the distance between the two connectors on the rear of the cutlery holder. I have then connected my cutlery holder to the front of the unit (not the rear as per manufacturer's photos), lining up the bottom rails of the connectors to sit flush against the plastic feet removed from the upper tier. (See photos). This pushes the base of the cutlery holder forward and therefore angles it so the water drains out of the drain holes, not pooling in the bottom. Problem solved! Hopefully this "hack" proves useful to both previous and would-be purchasers.

I love my new drainer. I looked for one that thought may last a while and this seems like it will. It looks good and is sturdy and big enough for what I want. I like how the drainage part can move to any side. Value for money and easy to take out the base plate for washing. Thank you.

I was thrilled to find this aluminium, rust-free rack that looked as though it would carry way more than my smaller, rusty, chrome-plated, wire rack. It has exceeded my expectations.Having read a 5* review entitled "Design Problem Solved!", I felt confident that the rack could be configured, as in the photo, to fit my small-ish draining board. Apart from providing more space, the upper rack is extremely useful and secure for a variety of items as well as plates, enabling a major wash-up to be loaded all at once.(The removable drainer is redundant given this soft water area and limited work surface, but has been retained in case of a move elsewhere.)

This is a great drainer and I would buy it again. It is good quality overall, fairly sturdy and the plastics clean easily from salts and grime. However, it has a design flaw in the cutlery section. If you attach the section properly, it leans to the left as you look from the side. Trouble is the draining holes are on the right side, and also the drain is on the right and this makes it look upwards! A moronic design choice. There is a way to remedy this easily. You attach the bottom clamps of the cutlery section normally, but cross the attachment of the top section over the metal bar and just let it rest there, giving it a proper slope to drain.

No more rust as it’s made of aluminium. But the tray was broken when arrived.

Just what I needed. Sturdy, easy to assemble and, because it's made of aluminium, rust proof.Have had other racks but this is the best. Holds all my dishes, plates and cups and doesn't drain into a tray which becomes a gungy mess when it dries! Can't rate this too highly! Love it!

The product is solid, doesn't wobble, everything clicks into place with solid strong plastic and decent aluminum. With the material I'm hoping that it doesn't need to be replaced in years as it doesn't rust and shouldn't break easily. Compared to some of the other racks at similar prices this one already looks a steal.

I’m very pleased with this product. The most important aspect of this item is that it is rust free after 3 years of use. Yes, it develops some water marks, but the water is hard in London, so can’t be avoided. It’s easily removed with lime scale remover or such like. Couple of the cup holders have broken off, but that’s the only negative.
