Old fashioned aromatic rice. Great aroma, wonderful flavor. Same rice as the white but with more of the rice bran intact. Takes longer to cook. 2 pound size packaged in our handmade old fashioned cloth bag.

Rinse your rice?
Mine arrived in plastic bag within the cloth bag, taped close and with a twist-tie. The rice itself seemed fine, slightly dirty in that when I cook in rice cooker without rinsing I'll see husk bits and also darker things occasionally, not sure if that's part of the rice or filth... Rice smells fine, tastes fine, it is more filling, chewier than white rice, takes longer to cook (in rice cooker).

SMELLS GOOD
There's nothing like the fragrance of Basmati rice as it cooks and of course brown rice is so much more nutritious than white. Takes a little longer to cook but with Basmati that's just a little more fragrance for a little bit longer.
