She goes back for lab re-check in 3 months. I am lowering her CoQ10 to 30mg twice a day from 200mg. I added the CoQ10 about 3 months ago when I read an NIH study on rats that CoQ10 lowered liver enzymes. I am lowering the mushroom powder to 1/4 teaspoon twice a day and will continue the lecithin which I added 3 months ago when I read that lecithin increases milk thistle's ability to lower liver enzyme levels. I will continue the sam-e and milk thistle but only once a day.The vet did say that her thyroid levels were slightly off, though still in the normal range, indicating possible hyperthyroidism. I did some sleuthing to see if any of the supplements I was giving her had any affect on the thyroid. I discovered that reshi (one of the ingredients in the mushroom powder) had a slight stimulating affect on the thyroid. She was on a pretty heavy dose for such a little cat. Which is another reason for cutting back the dose.--------------------------------------------------------- Original Post ---------------------------------------------------------------My thirteen year old cat is dealing with elevated liver enzymes. The cause is unknown as of yet. She is starting to feel better after a week of syringe feeding rx canned food from the vet along with milk thistle, sam-e, anti nausea meds, pain meds and 2 kinds of antibiotics along with some prednisolone. She started eating some food on her own by Saturday. I still supplement with syringe feedings to get in the required calories along with her meds and supplements.I started her on medicinal mushrooms 6 days ago and just received my package of the 10 mushroom blend powder from Jetsu last night. Today was the first day I tried the 10 mushroom blend. According to Dr. Ihor Basko's article "Understanding the Power of Medicinal Mushrooms in Your Practice" on the IVC Journal website, I should be giving her around 50mg per pound of weight in medicinal mushrooms for liver diseases. She weighs around 9lbs so that would be 450mg, or around 2 scoops/teaspoons. So I put that amount in a small jar, added a bit of water to thin it enough to pull into a dosing syringe. I was expecting a lot of growling, and complaining since she did that with the sam-e, milk thistle and the mushroom capsules I was mixing with water to dose her. But she very quietly and complacently accepted the liquid that I squirted in her mouth. Keeping her on the mushrooms will be easier than I thought.EDIT; I just read that over doing Chaga can affect the kidneys by overburdening them with the excretion of too much potassium and magnesium leading to oxalate nephropathy caused by kidney stones. So I'm gonna have to start her on a preventive dose of Chanca Piedra which is known to dissolve stones. I'll be using Herb Pharma's Stone Breaker as a tincture will be easier to deal with.

This is my second bag. For the price, this is a very good value compared to almost every other mushroom powder blend. I have a 120 Lb dog so I go through it fast. Every extra ounce helps. Having said that my dog seems to enjoy the flavor. He get pretty excited when I mix it in to his food so thats always a good thing. I cannot say for certain if it has helped him get any better but he does seem to have a burst of energy from it. Hes 9 now and slowing down so anytime he brightens up and wants to play makes me happy. We are unfortunately in a battle against cancer as well and I did a bit of research leaning that several mushrooms are very good cancer fighters for dogs. This mix has all the right stuff and several other mushrooms as well. I know that no matter what I do, he will eventually go off to a better place. But until then, I want whatever time he has to be as healthy as possible. This is a small price to pay for a better chance at that.

This is my first time using a mushroom powder and as a person who has experienced some rather significant health issues with side effects of extreme tiredness and depression am now realizing I should have stumbled on this sometime ago. My mood and energy is so much better!!! It's a nice quiet smooth change not like caffeine or one of those crazy energy drinks. It helps my immune system AND my state of mind. What's not to like? I 💘 this stuff.

I ordered this product as a supplement to my coffee in the morning. Overall, my experience has been very positive. Of all the nootropics I've tried in the past, this one has probably the most extensively encompassing effects, them being subtle but global nevertheless. (This includes slightly heightened senses, better sleep, waking up refreshed, better coordination, better sense of control, and general increase of energy that feels more natural, unlike a stimulant.) I've had no GI side effects. Overall, very pleased with the effects.

I have posted 2 previous reviews. My main concern is why does this product taste like it has sugar in it?As a global culinary artist, I am not feeling keen on mushrooms with a sugary flavor. Can you pleaseexplain the contents of the package for any ingredients or excipients that give it the sugar flavoring tasts?Although I have tasted it I have not used it for that reason yet.

All the good mushrooms! I wish it came in a larger size and that it was made from the most potent parts of the mushrooms. But I suppose that would be a lot more expensive too.I throw a scoop into my morning greens smoothies - mixes fine. It comes with a great variety of mushrooms you need to boost your immunity and health.

This is a really the best blend of mushrooms for the price on Amazon. The powder is easy to mix and to drink. When I mix it with water it tastes like bitter plain coffee so it's best to mix it with another shake or add it to a smoothy.After two weeks the most noticeable difference has been my mental clarity and increased ability to construct and verbalize my sentences. Great product!
