Aluminum Eyeglass Case For Small Frames In Black Or Silver

I purchased this case after getting tired of carrying around the large, bulky and annoying case that came with my very expensive glasses, even with insurance!I've sat on them and I'm no slim Jim! My wife has sat on them.. (no comment) I've dropped the case many times and only once the glasses slid out but no damage.The pictures do not provide enough detail as to how much abuse it has endured and I'm just waiting for more paint to chip off, during future falls, to buy another one.If there is one thing it needs is a stronger magnet so the glasses never slide out during drops but dropping it is the user's fault too.So I sat one too many times on my case and I've finally managed to destroy the case but it saved my glasses. And I just received my new case, hopefully I'll be more careful or lose weight... yeah right! Highly recommend but you still have to be careful for it is not indestructible.

This glasses case is very nicely made, a quality item. I was pleasantly surprised to see how nice this was in person. The fit of the cover over the case is perfect and there is a little magnet embedded in the door to gently keep it shut when not in use. It is not a strong magnet, so dropping it might open the door, or getting rummaged around in a purse may push the door open. My purses are usually small crossbodies, and I needed to find a slim, small eyeglass case for my rimless glasses. This case is perfect for those with small, minimal frame glasses. It is smooth, with no sharp or rough edges, and sturdy enough to withstand most normal wear in pockets and purses. If I need another case, I would definitely buy another one of these!UPDATE: After using it, I decided to go ahead and buy another, these are very nice!

I wanted a slim profile case that was sturdy enough to put in my back pocket. I'm really pleased with this case, it meets my needs and has a good price point.A word of warning, if you do put it in your back pants pocket and sit on it, there is a strong chance you will warp it slightly, which may effect how the lid closes. I was able to easily bend the 'latch' portion of the lid so that it securely closed again after this happened. It's not probably good to sit on this case, but overall I think this was an excellent bargain and a very good choice.

It's a really nice case that will protect your glasses against nearly any trauma, but I can only give it four stars because it won't hold most kinds of reading glasses. If you want the lid to shut all the way and not squish the glasses, it can only hold the most slender pairs. I was able to find one style that fit, so I kept the case. The fact that it's a skinnier case means that it will slip into your pants pocket a lot more easily than most cases. So if I'm going somewhere that my glasses can expect some abuse, I'd use this case. For ordinary situations, I'll go with a fabric sleeve that will be less bulky in my pocket.

I have used several of these cases, which I continue to buy in spite of their relatively short life. The case is a perfect size for my glasses, and I wish they held up longer. I like to have the smallest case possible because I carry my glasses in my pocket. The case is wonderful when new, but over time the aluminum begins to bend, and eventually an end breaks off because it is not strong enough to last. I replace the case after about six months, when it has become unable to do the job.

So it does what it is suppose to do very well. It protects my readers from the dangers of my pocket. It is small and convenient and easy to use. There isn’t any real extra room for extras like a cleaning cloth but I didn’t want a big case. With that it gets banged up a lot. It takes dents and bends and looks like it has been truly beaten up and now is held closed with a rubber band. That said no damage has come to my glasses and I don’t have to keep track of a big case that I will most assuredly leave sitting somewhere so I view that as a success.

This case is a refreshing alternative to the usual vinyl clamshell case that you get with a new pair of eyeglasses. Those work fine for a while but the metal spring that snaps the lid shut always breaks, sometimes in as little as a couple months. This case is secured with a magnetic closure so no worries about hinges breaking. The shape of this aluminum case is handsome and is pretty comfortable in my pants pocket. Also the case is rather low profile and light. It feels reasonably strong for something so light, though it would probably crush if stepped upon. The only real negatives are that the magnet is a bit weaker than it should be, and metallic objects in my pocket (change, keys) clank audibly against this case in a way they did not with my old vinyl cases. Also larger glasses will not fit, but mine are perfect. Internal dimensions are about 6-1/4" wide by about 7/8" deep at the deepest point. Glasses with a deep curvature will not fit.
