This battery seems to live up to its claims. I haven't put it on the analyzer yet, but from it's weight I suspect it really is 5000mAh. Also, I get a run time at least 3 times that of a fresh NiCd battery on my blower and string trimmer. I am able to complete the task on this one battery rather than 3 NiCd batteries.I tried other brands ( with a horizontal battery gauge) and they failed on the first charge. I have recharged this one 4 or 5 times so far and it works well. The fast charger acts a little differently though blinking rapidly (like a defective battery) when the charge is complete. I suspect that is because the charge protection circuit opens up when the battery is full.I have used the fast charger and it does work, but if I'm not in a hurry, I prefer to use the ubiquitous B&D trickle charger. I think it is easier on the batteries.it seemsKudos to the manufacture for doing a good design not a substandard one like their competitors.UPDATE 12/31/2020It's been over a year since i bought this battery and it is still going strong. I was so satisfied with it I bought a second one. I use them on my leaf blower, string trimmer, reciprocating saw, chain saw etc. and they hold their own on these high load tools.

I've had my weed trimmer for years...long enough that I was needing to replace the batteries for a second time. I've had the original OEM batteries, I've had non-OEM batteries, and it always took two of them to get my whole yard done. So when I needed another set, I read the reviews on this and decided to try it. I only bought one. And I'm glad I did. This one battery does the work of two. Actually more, because the charger shows it's only down less than half! And this is after using for over a year. I wish more replacement batteries had the lithium option available.

The first one was a dud and had to send it back the replacement one just died did not make it 2 months. I am not a fan of having to pay attention to the charging cycle. You would assume that when fully charged all 3 indicator lights would be on but no they flash like a defective battery yet the charger light will be solid red showing fully charged.

I ordered this 18v battery along with a 40v.The 18v came earlier, and the specs were just a hair off, not allowing it to fit on the blower. I returned it with refund. The 40v battery came a few days later. It fit perfectly. As a result, I reordered the 18v. This one fit perfectly.

don't know how long it will last yet but it is a 5.0 and lithium. after a full charge it tested at 20.1 volt. this one has 3 terminals where the old battery only had 2 but fits and so far runs my blower great

Have a Black and Decker GrassHog trimmer and was able to trim the yard twice on one charge and was still going strong. Was also able to trim much faster and get done quicker. Of all the batteries I have bought for this trimmer this one is the best and fits the best, slide on nice and easy.

But so far so good. Just used it three times and charged it once, and everything went well--even my existing Black&Decker battery charger for regular batteries. Now it just has to last for three seasons or so. Love the power meter light.

I gave this battery a 5 because it was good quality. But it was a bad idea.. So much power it burned up my B&D grass hog trimmer. My fault not Amazon or the Battery.
