I've always had good experience with blacksys dash cams.i've seen about 20 blacksys dash cam installed and none of them had a issue at all for years. It was old model but it works perfectly after 5 years now.I just got this model for my wife and i'm already loving it. Its bigger the other chinese products but it really feels solid and durable. All the configuration can be done thru wifi connection and its very easy to connect to wifi.1440p front cam gives amazing clarity and 1080p rear cam is just good enough.It comes with GPS, hardwire fuse kit AND cigar jack power incase you want it for easier installation.Its got low voltage battery cut feature and that is the MUST HAVE feature for hardwire installation

New Blacksys ch300 is great, has great picture quality and easy to hardwire if you know your basic car stuff and how to splice wires to fuse splitter to use to wire to the interior fuse box and add it to a live a current that is always on. I had the CH 200 dual dash cam. Only issue I had with that one is rear cammer would not connect because USB that connects to the front dash wouldn't stay on the outlet due to the angle male connections would disconnect barely to any vibration or bump in the road. So I decided to go with new one. So far only issue I have is the connection to my phone(OnePlus 6t) I need to always have to disconnect/forget the wifi and enter the password and then confirm it on my phone. Due to the software app will not allow it to connect if I don't do it on settings on my phone and forget the wifi and re-enter the password and confirm the connection on my phone to able access the phone app to see my recording. I spent about 2 hours trying to see what is the issues not connect but I figured it out. So I don't know if it's just cause im using a non main stream phone company but I could live with this minor set back. Dash cam has great app and easy to use settings if you don't have issue connecting after setting it on your phone. I hope they do another firmware fix this minor bug. Which the app has ability to update firmware once your sync up with your phone. But so far they haven't updated lately. So I hope they start soon. And other thing that's a fault seems to be the GPS, it doesn't seem to function at all. I don't know if I got a faulty GPS that was shipped with the Dashcam so it can't tell my vehicle speed or location. But I can live without out it but I hope they figure out if their shipping faulty GPS or I just received a dead gps.

DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE IPHONE. The app doesn’t work with the camera. This is an ongoing issue since iOS13 was released and the support from the forums are offering no future hope. I wish I would’ve bought an American product. Lessons learned, don’t skimp. Zero support for this product. I don’t know how the quality is, because I haven’t plugged it into my computer yet. I haven’t gotten around to downloading their software for the PC, and I guess I’ll just do that as needed. I expected everything to work through the app. Good luck.

I previously installed the CH-200 in my other vehicle. Upon purchasing a second car I realized this upgraded model is out.Pros of the CH-300:- More difficult to rotate the camera to position it. This seems like a con, but it also means that it's easier to avoid accidentally knocking it out of position once it's set.- Higher resolution front camera.Pros of the CH-200:- Additional buttons on the unit itself provided for greater ease of use. Can easily press a button to record the past few seconds if something interesting happened. (Not sure how to do that on the CH-300 yet...). Can press a different button to turn on WiFi. On the CH-300 you have to hold the single button a few seconds to turn on WiFi.Overall, they are both very good dash cams.

The app didn’t work so I returned it.

Really liked the system. Had it installed. They wired it so it would turn off with the car. I changed the wiring, because my other camera stopped someone from stealing my kayak while parked. The on, while parked, is a major feature for me. Alas, they were correct CH-300 drains the car battery if not driven every day. That defeats the purpose for me. I am installing a switch to turn it off if parked for more than 12-15 hours. New car battery. Can't believe this unit drains so much power. Any solutions would be gratefully appreciated.

First off, the install instructions are in such broken English they are unreadable. Secondly, despite having it professionally installed, it has never recorded out of the backward camera, the time stamp is incorrect and I cannot fix it, and half the time it doesn't record audio even though the audio is turned on. This camera is a total piece of garbage, go to blackboxmycar and have them help you choose one, they know what they're talking about. When I spoke with them, they told me they won't even carry this camera because it is absolutely riddled with defects. I wish I could give 0 stars, I hope you go out of business Blacksys/Cammsys/whatever your company is called.

Blacksys has shut down and offers no support or software for any products. There website does not exist anymore
