Great for skim coating
This is by far the least expensive option for drywall mud. Make sure you mix a bit of water in until the consistency is like pancake batter, not too thin, just a bit more smooth. It'll go on nice for skim coat, or any other application you need. Yes, it works great for patching holes and dents and dings in walls, just as well as doing mud for new drywall construction. Pre-mixed, take a little, take a lot, right from the bag.

Easy to use and works well both as joint compound and top coat.
The material has a nice viscosity, is easy to work, sticks well even to ceilings, and has minimal shrink. The material in the box has a sort of foamy consistency so after it is applied one has to work it a bit to get it to have a flat finish. To get a very flat finish (top coat) I add a little water, usually just onto the tool I am using.

Bag makes it a little tricky to get the mud out.

Old product?
This was a great deal, but I think it was because it was old. Plastic bag leaked and some of the product was hard and moldy. If I hadn't gotten it for about a third of the normal price and needed it right away, I would have returned it. Won't order this product from Amazon again.

Product shrinks a lot,easy to use and sand. Current Amazon price is three times that of the most expensive you can go pick up from any average supply.

Plus 3 applies smooth and easy to sand
The mud is in a plastic bag which keeps it from drying out but doesn't get as wet as a bucket.
