Solid and Simple Yes; Easy Not So Much
I can't fault the company for my complicated digestive system; my reflux at night still comes around some, even after more than a month and being very careful about what I eat, not before bed or close to that time, medications and so forth. This inclined box support is worth the money paid. It is not so easy to assemble as other say; simple maybe, easy, no. The drill is an excellent recommendation if you want to secure all of the slates to the base. Those will take some light tapping into place with a hammer and also make sure they are laying the correct way; I had to swap ends with the whole strand of slats; that was heavy. This is real wood, so it's all heavy (but lighter than particleboard and better for you). I'm not exactly out of shape or small/short, and I could move it (as a woman, well into middle age), but I wouldn't say that most could by themselves, and I would recommend wearing a back support, which I have. I spent a good 45 minutes putting it together. Wood isn't always straight and doesn't always meet the way you want, so there is work involved. Be prepared. I had to use a belt to hold the center beam together on the final steps while I secured the bolt.My allergies seem to be doing better, and I do believe that my circulation over all is better; I'm not as cold as often. The incline is minimal and not distracting or uncomfortable. The cover didn't fit easily to go to the floor, leaving my cat a wonderful playhouse that I didn't want him in; so I use a bedskirt and tuck it under the box. The cover fits fairly well; don't get me wrong, but even with that little inch gap in one or two sections my 12 pound cat worked his way into and loved every minute of it.

Good design, reasonable assembly, excellent price.
I read many reviews before purchasing this item and thought I'd add my view too. First, the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the wood could have been sanded, which would have made it 5 star.It arrived on time and with reasonable, though a little light, packaging. But inside the box all was well packed. We looked over the instructions and the parts, got the electric drill, and laid out the pieces and began. It was very easy for two of us to put together. It would be possible but more challenging for one. The bed-frame (we have the inclined) was well designed. Other than a splinter here and there due to lack of sanding, there were no problems. We did have to hammer one of the bolts in as the hole was a little tight, but it went together. Once all the wood was secured we added the slats. There are two "stops" on the frame to keep the slats in the correct position. There were not enough screws for every slat, but there are plenty to make it secure. BEWARE: Do not add screws to any slat without pre-drilling a hole or the slat may crack.Putting the cover on was a bit of work in stretching it out properly, but it did work.It took us about 45 minutes and works great!

just okay, but an affordable option
The package did not include all of the necessary hardware to assemble to product. I emailed CPS Wood Products directly and they sent me the hardware and I received it about a week later.I'm giving this 4 stars because this is a pretty affordable option for people who are suffering from acid reflux and are looking for some way to elevate the head of their bed, as recommended by doctors.Otherwise, I would only give it 3 stars because the product doesn't really assemble as well as described. All the pieces barely fit together just enough to be able to work as designed.I do appreciate that CPS Wood Products has this product on the market at all and at a good price point. However, hopefully they can approve the quality of their production process.

The Perfect Bed Base
After several months of using a foam wedge between my mattress and box spring, I was convinced that all beds should be inclined. Inclining the bed feels natural and sharply reduces snoring, acid reflux, and sleep apnea. I needed a new mattress, but instead of buying another box spring I bought this unit. I found it to be very well designed. It went together quickly and easily, and the heavy-duty cover finished it as well as any traditional box spring. The only issue I had was that several of the slats twisted. I straightened them with an adjustable wrench before screwing them in place. One of them split, but I anchored it with additional screws. A powered screwdriver or drill with a screwdriver bit is essential, but there is no need to pre-drill any holes. I also found no need to glue or reinforce any joints; the industrial staples hold it together just fine.

Genious product!
I normally do not do reviews, but any one needing this should know it is well worth the money. This box spring was a genius idea, I have tried every thing to make my husband comfortable including a hospital bed with a great mattress. He has a bad back and neurapathy so he needs to move through out the night and needs to lay flat to be able to sleep on his side, but he also has acid reflux that was causing him to get pneumonia. This box spring worked perfect and easy to put together. In one area we needed to pull the wood together with a clamp to get the bolt in which was easy. Other than that there were no problems it took about 45 minutes to put together! We love it and it looks great. I wish I would have found this sooner!

Low quality materials, but seems stable after assembly.
This thing was so warped I had to wrap a ratcheting tie down around it to assemble it. It is made of low quality pine. The larger pieces are cut up 2x4 studs. I know this to be fact as the printing "STUD" is still on the wood. The cross members appear to be extra low quality furring strip like you would buy at HD for $10 a bundle. Why did I give it three stars after that scathing review? Well... After it is assembled it seems pretty solid. I have doubts about it's longevity, but it definitely gives a stable feeling when you lay on your mattress. Note that I chose to glue all of the joints due to the low quality of the wood. If I don't forget, I'll update the review after several months of use.
