The fabric part of this umbrella is so pretty, and the way it is shaped is also unique and pretty. What I did not expect, as the photo shows only the fabric top, is that the stem and handle are metal that has been painted a flat, matte black. It was a bit scratched up when I received it-- it scratches and shows wear super easily. The stem was a bit warped when I received it too, as though something heavy had been placed on it during storage or transit. I think the black portion is meant to look "downtown," but to me the effect is jarring. It would have looked much prettier, IMHO, in traditional wood. Overall, it works well, and even with the black paint it is far prettier than most!

This is an awesome umbrella. The handle has a terrific, cushy grip. The umbrella itself was stick-style-- I thought for the purchase price that it might be a collapsible or cheaply made and it was neither of these. I received the package yesterday, used it this morning, and received compliments on it right away! I'm sorry it is now out of stock because I would have bought more for friends, to keep in the office, etc.

I wanted a more feminine umbrella and this one fits the bill. It's large enough without being too big. I did have a problem with the handle coming loose but that was easily fixed with some good glue, that aside, over all very good quality. I get compliments whenever I use it. I would say the background color is more like a tan than an off white.

Umbrella came in two separate pieces..the handle and the long umbrella. There was no mechanism that join the two umbrella pieces together. The pole just rested in the umbrella handle. We returned the umbrella the next day amazon delivered a replacement it came assembled in one piece. Just this morning my girlfriend used it for the first time the moment she opened it up the wind blew the umbrella right off the handle which stayed in her hand. Very poor quality if you look in the hole left by the missing umbrella it looks as if the two were glued together.

The handle broke when I was opening the umbrella. I didn't send it back because my husband said he can fix it for me. It is April 2013 and the handle is still broken. I should have send it back.

I bought this umbrella to take it with me on our recent trip to Seattle. It was too long to take on the plane. But, it is truly a beautiful umbrella.

I bought one of these umbrellas because of the lovely pattern which matched my pink Barbour coat. The handle of the umbrella failed within a year, it had gone sticky as the rubberised plastic started to degrade. It is still usable if you are wearing gloves, but is a real disappointment on a beautiful umbrella. I wouldn't buy again.

Really nice umbrella, bought as a present and went down really well. Only reason for a 4* is that the handle and tip were dirty and I had to clean it before it could be wrapped.

E' forse l'ombrello più bello che ho avuto in vita mia e ad un prezzo onestissimo. La fantasia non stanca: nelle giornate grigie rasserena un po'. E' molto resistente ed anche antivento.
