This is a lovely journal, but the dots on the pages are somewhat closer together than the Leuchtturm that many have used for Bullet Journaling. If you've invested in any templates to fit a Leuchtturm, they might not work so well.

Compared to my Leuchtturm 1917, this is definately not true A5 size. The dots are spaced at 4cm apart rather than the 5cm for traditional A5.

I love my new journal and it may very well be my go to for years to come. I enjoy writing with my felt tip pens (papermate flair) however absolutely hated when it would bleed through the page. These pages are thick enough to where writing on previous is not so obvious. I also love how the pages are numbered so if you're into bullet journaling you'd probably appreciate it as much as I do.

I journal almost every day and always have a notebook with me to write down my thoughts. I love everything about this notebook! First of all, the size is perfect for tucking into a purse or bag when you are on the go. Second, the hardcover provides a sturdy writing surface if you are writing in the book on your lap. I also appreciate the way the book is bound ... the pages open completely flat, which means the paper on the other side doesn't flop over while you working. The paper is sturdy and can handle being erased if you choose to pencil in something first. I love that there are three ribbon place holders, in case you want to create different sections, or mark something that you want to come back to. I also love that the pages are numbered. I often free write ideas that come to me, and the numbers will allow me to create an index in the back of the notebook by topic/project to reference later. I love the pen loop, allowing me to keep my favorite pen handy with my notebook at all times. (There's nothing more frustrating than not having a place to keep your pen. :) ) If there is one thing I could change about the notebook, it would be to make it the same exact width and height as the Clever Fox planner; however, this is not a deal breaker for me. I love my planner, and envisioned the notebook being the same exact size when I ordered it. It is about 1/4" shorter in height and about 1/2" smaller in width. I haul the notebook and planner around together and my symmetry-loving heart wants them to match exactly, but like I said, it won't stop me from using it or purchasing it again. This is an A5 size journal. It is three quarters smaller than the comparing A5 journals. It doesn't sound like a lot but it is amazing how much of a difference it makes. The makes are thicker than many other journals which is great. The pages also allow for great erasing, major plus. The only bad thing is that the pages still bleed slightly. As you can tell from the picture the red lines are on the back of the page that bled through. I used a regular permanent marker nothing special. I did notice that the binding is rather um, forgiving I guess I can say. It does not seem quite as strong as some others. I do love that there is a built in pen/pencil loop. Overall this journal is GREAT given the price. I will be buying another when this one is full!

This is the best book for bullet journaling. The pages don’t bleed through and you get a lot of them. The cover feels very luxurious. The price is fantastic. The company is the best to work with. I’d recommend this book to everyone.

When I first got this journal, I was horribly disappointed. It wasn't the same A5 size I'd grown accustomed to, the dot spacing was smaller than that in other journals, and I didn't feel there were enough pages. I immediately started looking for another brand that I'd used before, but since it was January and bullet journalists were snatching up journals for their new year, everything that appealed to me was out of stock. So I sucked it up and began adjusting to this journal, for which I harbored a fair amount of resentment. And holy cow, did that resentment fade fast! The first thing that I found I liked better was that the pages are super thick and white, not ivory. Ivory pages might be easier on the eyes, but white pages feel cleaner and I feel more productive when writing on them. I have yet to find a felt-tipped pen or marker that bleeds through, and I don't even see the tiniest hint of ghosting. I love the pen loop and ribbons, and once I adjusted my templates, the journal size and dot spacing were no longer issues for me. I do think there needs to be more pages added, and I miss the back pocket that most journals have, but overall, this is a really nice journal, especially for the price. I plan to order more, no doubt!**Updated 5/28/19**I upgraded to five stars. I'm still using this journal and it's going to easily last me through the end of June. This is by far my favorite journal ever. I went ahead and bought another one for future use, and was happily surprised to find they've added a back pocket!

I love Clever Fox overall. I've been using their daily planners for a while no, so I decided to give their dotted notebook a go and I am not disappointed. This is about A5, but not quiet, which works perfect for carrying around. It is lightweight, so it doesnt weigh my purse down. The dots are a bit closer together than most, so if having a bit more space between your dots is a must for you, this one would not work very well. In the reviews I read that it doesnt come with a back pocket, however, mine did come with the back pocket into it. So I'm unsure if it's a new feature they've added, or if it's a feature only available in the purple notebook, but mine did come with it's own pocket in the back. The only pens that really bleed through are permanent markers. And it only bleeds through the back, not onto the page. I dont really use them, so its not an issue for me. Felt tip, gel, ballpoint, all have worked great with absolutely no bleed through for me. Overall this is a really great notebook if you're looking for something compact, sturdy, and lightweight. I would highly reccomend.

Love it the paper is so much better than my lithium!

First of all, the size is more of a travel A5 rather then a traditional A5. But as I'm using this for travelling that's not a bad thing.The page colour is also a lot whiter then I'm used to. But it works with the design so it's not a problem.It sits flat well, and the stitching has not stolen any of the dots.Three bookmarks are handy, elastics are appreciated, and the lack of pocket does not bother me.However, the dot grid is a lot smaller then most bullet journals. 30 dots across the top, 49 down, about 4mm apart. And a clear, clean border around the grid.Dot and page number colour is a gunmetal Gray. So very visible, but not as bad as others I've had.The page feels thinner then my lemome journals, but I feel it holds up better under my heavy handed writting/drawing then the lemomes do. Still don't feel comfortable doing watercolours on it though. But I feel that way about all bullet journals.Over all. I think this is a very good journal. For a beginner or even a experienced bullet journaler. Much better experience over the Leuchtturm1917 and moleskins.The size, GSM, page count, and price makes it my new go to for weeklys.100% will buy again, and recommend to others.

Overall, this is a great journal! The paper is nice and thick, with minimal bleedthrough and a good range of pens that can be used. Not great for watercolour or ink-mixing, as the paper is quite absorbent. If you're looking for a bujo you can get really artsy in, this might not suit your tastes, but if you're looking for something that you can draw in (including using paint pens), or do single layer watercolour washes in, this is a pretty great journal at a reasonable cost.

I intend to use it as a bullet journal and it seems great for that.It came as expected and is pretty much as described.The pages are nice and thick, very clean white, not yellow or grey. Numbered pages which is convenient.The dots are small and grey, easy to see and use but not overwhelming the page.I like it uses recycled paper.I look forward to using it.

Beautiful book. Exactly as advertised. Vivid cover. Thick pages that do not bleed through. Arrived early. Very happy with this journal.
