Ozaki IC824PA iCoat Wood Hybrid Case for iPhone 4/4S - 1 Pack - Retail Packaging - Patience

No, the back part of the case is not real wood, but it does look like it. I like to carry my iPhone in my front pocket and this case does not add much bulk to the phone. All good there.The case is snug and seems as though it will protect the phone in the event of a drop. I have not tried it b/c that would be dumb.All in all, a good case, good value for the money, and it looks sharp.

Ozaki Hybrid case = FAILThe folks at Ozaki owe their product photographer big money as well as their copywriter. This case is simply a single piece of molded plastic painted to look like wood AND Aluminum (metal). No where on their site or in the description do they explain this and while it may look nice, it also feels that as soon as your phone hit the floor (dropped) with it on, it would shatter. Ironically the hard plastic display packaging it comes in is probably more durable and cost more to produce than this cheap case. What a let down.Thankfully I ordered directly from Amazon Warehouse deals (only 10 bucks - returned item) so my return was without hassle. Even for 10 bucks this thing isn't worth it, I was expecting more.

Great fit and finish

I really wanted to like this case. When I received it though, I was pretty disappointed. Of course it is plastic as most phone cases, but it just felt very cheap. (I am mainly comparing it to a CaseMate Barely There case which I had on it before). The wood sticker on the back was almost blurry and pixelated. It's hard to describe, but it didn't look that great. And I'm not sure what the other reviewer was saying, but it does not feel like wood. It has texture, but nothing like real wood.Also when I put it on my phone, the side with no buttons, was not snug. When I grabbed my phone by the sides, it would flex in toward the phone. I chalk this one up due to the poor plastic material used for the case.The buttons did fit correctly in the cutouts, so that was a plus; but other than that, it is a very poor quality product in my opinion. I returned it and bought the Casemate Barely There brushed aluminum case which feels a thousand times better quality and feels much more solid.
