Great graphics card

If your on a budget like me and have a small computer tower with very little room to play with then this graphics card is ideal, these are much smallwr than normal sized graphics cards and they perform quite well to,year ok your not going to get max graphics setting in your latest favourite games but it does what it needs to on a budget and never had an issue.

Great deal, powerful little card.

Does as it says on the tin, nice little card that is physically dwarfed by the gtx 670 it replaces but walks all over it when gaming. The only slight concern I would have, if I had a large & low rez monitor, is that the pixel rate makes anti-aliasing very taxing on the card compared to its more expensive 20xx series cards, but it manages very high resolutions on a variety of games - I power a 2560x1080 monitor at 60fps and up on a variety of games; gta5 runs without stutter at vsynced 60fps with mostly high/ultra with adjustments for MSAA - given my monitor is 1.5x the size of a 1080p monitor expect buttery smooth performance on most games at 1080p.

Great value even up to 1440p

Great value at a time when the GPU market is very overpriced and full of false promises. The 1660 overclocks quite nicely with a real ~10% performance boost making it probably a bit quicker than a 1660 Super and close to a Ti. In my ageing Haswell-based system with a core i5 @ 4.5GHz and 16GB of DDR3 in dual channel I can run Doom Eternal at 1440p on the highest settings allowed by the 6GB of VRAM and it is fairly well glued to my 60FPS cap. If you're upgrading from something old get one of these and save your money for the next-gen as the RTX cards and AMD's current offerings just don't do a lot more for the huge asking prices IMHO.

Easy to install and fine if you dont wanna splurge on anything overly expensive.

I bought this because my old 750ti was starting to struggle with VR (yes I'm as surprised as you that it even worked) and whilst I'm not spending unhealthy amounts of time in the 'Virtual World' (yet) when I did fire it up I wanted to do so without having to 'adjust' too much (I'm lazy like that). This card isn't optimised for VR but like the 750ti (which now spends its days spell checking my partners uni work haha... hahahaa) the specs you need and specs you have are not umm the specs you want????? Anyway, it works. Drivers were easy with the nvidia thing already installed from the last card. None of my monitors were display port so I did have to buy a dp to hdmi cable which was probably the most effort required to get three monitors hooked up. It comes with 1 hdmi, 1 display port and a DVI port... which is a bit like the start of an incredibly cabelist joke. In conclusion, good card, plays pretty much everything I've thrown at it on the best graphical settings, VR works fine (oculus and WMR tested) very quiet, smells nice and gets along with the kids and dog fine.

Pretty good value for amazing performance.

I upgraded from my 1060 3gb. My rig has an i5 7400 with 16gb of ram. This card was pretty easy to install. But was a little on the expensive side for the performance. This was likely because of a mild bottle neck so I would recommend a slightly better processed than what I’m using. Just for context game like COD Warzone can run at about 80fps on nearly max settings. On the other end of the spectrum Minecraft can run on max settings rendering at 12 chunks with about 100fps. When being pushed to its limit without over clock it goes to about low 70 C. I tried some mild steaming with the card and appeared to work alright. Although my game crashed but that could be due to other reasons.I would highly recommend this product to anyone who enjoys mid to high tier gaming and has the money to spare.

Best GPU for under ÂŁ200.

I bought this as I was getting some issues with my 1050 ti - I wasn’t sure if it was the card or drivers; it could have been the PSU.The 1050 is a fairly good card for 1080p, but it’s dated now, ideally I was hunting a 1060 Windforce but I did a comparison between this and the 1660 and the 1660 took it by 1%.When it arrived I installed and hoped that I solved the problem by running a stress tested - 85% in it crashed again and I was convinced it was the PSU.I thought why not check the Windows updates and then go through the installer that way... this solved it and I could finally see how the card performed and it is wonderful - I haven’t heard a peep and I haven’t seen the temperature exceed 60c under stress.

Nice easy install on Mini ITX with Ubuntu18.04

Finally came back to my 4 year old custom build that's been working hard as a websurfer come office desktop and gave it a some gaming talent. Looking at the GPU hierarchy table over at Tom's Hardware, gtx1660 seemed to be the highest I could get for the money I had to spend. There was no way I was going to fit a 20-30cm monster into my little cube, so at just under 17cm length this was perfect.Drop it in the PCI slot need to bring a 8pin lead over from the PSU (or a 6&2 like mine is fine). Get yourself to the terminal and then sudo add-apt-repository ppa:graphics-drivers/ppa and then sudo apt install nvidia-driver-418 nvidia-settings. Reboot and you're away.I had assumed I was already running at max settings for my old monitor, but it appears not. I'm only on a 1920x1080, but Instant improvement in sharpness and screen size from the motherboard chip and everything so far seems a breeze for it. System is silent.

Excellent gaming power for a sensible price

I went from my old card that sounded like a helicopter running its fan and still couldn't cope with high settings to silent running. This card runs all my triple A games at ultra settings (Witcher 3, tomb raider, Far Cry 5, etc). It has given me back smooth running games that look beautiful without having to fiddle with any graphic settings. The only slight issue was not realising it would need an 8-pin power connector (native one in my PC is 6-pin). It just took an extra day to order molex to 8-pin cable before i could fit it.
