DUST: A Tale of the Wired West

This game rocks! Glad I was finally able to get it for nostalgia's sake :)

I am unable to save any of the game .I have to play from the start everytime.

Didn't play on Windows 7.

Roger Ebert claimed that video games could never be art. This is the prime example I can show that proves him wrong. The game weaves together film tropes (bounty hunters, Spanish treasure, and Billy the Kid) into an rich narrative, with solid voice work and, most importantly, a convincing atmosphere (even with the bad graphics, it still feels like you're in the Old West). The characters are legitimately either charming or hilarious, and there's always a sense of danger around each corner, like you might get shot at any moment. It's a video game, but it's also an immersive, interactive film. The most apt modern comparison is probably Fallout: New Vegas, which also has a strong narrative and atmosphere. If you can handle the somewhat dated gameplay mechanics, I seriously suggest picking this up (or downloading it from the Internet) and installing it using Wine (it works first try with Wine). 10/10, highly recommend.

You can't ask for much more in a game like this. A fun setting, with fun and interesting characters. Increasingly difficult puzzles as the game progresses, with minigames ranging from poker to checkers, all well done. Even the gunfights are well done, and humor is present all the time, and in every character. A little mystery and horror is present in the game as well. A great story, a great adventure game, a great buy. This game will make you want to REALLY be in the old west.
